    Dam Line Highlights

Action Man Ask Z descends from the same dam line as several international top performers, including Dimitri Z, as well as Harley VDL, Hopes Are High Z, and Cevin Z.

    Dam: Camilla Z
Camilla Z was retired from sport at the age of 7 to focus fully on breeding. As a 6-year-old, she had several victories and placings in 130 cm classes.

Her dam, Sandro Girl Z, produced offspring that are competing internationally up to 145 cm level.

    Great-granddam: Larthago
Larthago competed successfully up to four-star Grand Prix level herself and went on to become the dam of notable horses such as Dimitri Z (finalist at the World Breeding Championships for 6-year-olds) and the highly sought-after stallion Harley VDL, who achieved international Grand Prix victories and placings at five-star level.

Larthago is also the dam of the approved stallions Cevin Z and Casago Z, the latter sold in 2016 to Italian team rider Piergiorgio Bucci.
Another of Larthago’s sons is Soren Z by Sandro Boy, who debuted in 160 cm Grand Prix and World Cup classes at the age of just 8 and 9 respectively.

In addition, Larthago is the granddam of the approved stallions Arizona Z, Cameron Z, and Castellani Z.

Her dam, Daisy IV by Caletto I, is also the granddam of Caritano Z, sire of Caribis Z, who won the Hong Kong Masters (5 Grand Prix)* under Christian Ahlmann.

    Sire Line Highlights

    Sire: Action-Breaker
Action-Breaker (by Heartbreaker x Lys de Darmen), ridden by Spain’s Sergio Alvarez Moya, had an impressive career including a 3rd place in the Aachen Grand Prix, 2nd in the Global Champions Tour in Cannes, and numerous top placings in 4* and 5* Grand Prix, World Cups, and Nations Cups.

He represented Spain at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky 2010 and Normandy 2014.
Standing 176 cm tall, Action-Breaker is one of the largest sons of the legendary Heartbreaker.
He is also a full brother to Quasimodo van de Molendreef, sire of Scott Brash’s Hello Sanctos.

    Dam Sire: Calvados Z
Sadly, Calvados Z passed away far too early in 2010 at just 9 years old, only hours after delivering a clear round in the 5 Grand Prix in Oslo*. The day before, he had just one rail in his first World Cup start under Christian Ahlmann.
Before that, he showed signs of great promise with wins including the Pforzheim Grand Prix and several other Grand Prix placings.
As a 5-year-old, he won the World Championship for Young Horses at Zangersheide.

    Great-grandsire: Sandro Boy
Sandro Boy is a World Cup Final winner in Kuala Lumpur and one of the most successful showjumpers of the past decade.
Under Marcus Ehning, he earned over €1.2 million in prize money.

    Great-great-grandsire: Chellano
Chellano was another top stallion whose life ended far too soon.
Besides competing at the international level, he made a lasting impact in breeding with offspring such as Chili RZ, Calvados Z, Chamberlain Z, Challenge van de Begijnakker, Vivaldi du Seigneur, and HH Carlos Z, to name just a few.

    Great-great-great-grandsire: Carthago
The pedigree concludes with Carthago, a legendary sire who proved himself both in sport and breeding.
An Olympic competitor in 2000 under Jos Lansink, Carthago collected numerous Grand Prix placings.
He is, however, perhaps even more influential in breeding, with his sons and daughters continuing to leave their mark at the highest levels of sport and breeding worldwide.

Action Man Ask Z consistently passes on his strong, well-framed conformation and good body length — both in the neck and topline — to his offspring. His progeny are known for their functional and well-balanced canter, great jumping capacity, and rideable, cooperative temperaments.

He is the sire of three licensed stallions and several medal-awarded mares.

    FFS status: Negative
