With bloodlines of Diamant de Semilly – Darco – Quidam de Revel, Favorit Ask is arguably the stallion in Denmark carrying the strongest performance pedigree. The first three stallions in his pedigree all competed at European or World Championships or the Olympic Games, winning multiple Grand Prix classes and World Cup qualifiers.

After winning the 35-day test with an outstanding 901.5 points and a brilliant performance at the Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning, Favorit Ask was named Champion Stallion in the group of 5-year-old and older show jumping stallions.

At the Herning licensing in 2010, he was the stallion everyone talked about. Judge Bo Kristoffersen remarked when Favorit Ask received a 9.2 for jumping:

“He is the king of this arena.”

Licensing description: A jumper-bred, tall, large-framed stallion of excellent type. Attractive head. Neck of suitable length and well set. Long, sloping shoulder. Long, well-defined withers. Good elbow freedom. Very supple topline. Long, well-formed, muscular croup. Correct limbs, with soft pasterns in front and straight pasterns behind. Well-formed hooves. Very good canter with balance and carriage. Very good jumping technique with great scope.

    Licensing scores: 8–8–9–10 7–7 9 9.

“It was a popular and natural decision when the commission placed the ultra-modern Diamant de Semilly-son Favorit Ask as Champion of the older jumper stallions. He received a 10 for topline and was described as a very modern stallion of exciting bloodlines, tall, elegant, and with superior capacity.”

After a busy breeding season, he also represented Danish Warmblood at the World Breeding Championships (Zangersheide), where in three rounds he had only a single time fault—just missing the final.

Favorit Ask’s full brother Elvis Ter Putte is licensed in Belgium, was 2nd in the Belgian 4-year-old jumping championship in 2008, and now competes internationally up to 1.60 m. Their granddam Quinette Ter Putte placed in 1.50 m classes.

In 2017, Favorit Ask was named Danish Warmblood Stallion of the Year.

Favorit Ask has produced numerous offspring that have won Champion titles at foal and mare shows.

From his first foal crop at the Danish Warmblood licensing in 2014 came French Match Ask, Champion Stallion, scoring 9.5 for technique and 10 for scope.

In 2015, French Match Ask was again Champion, this time among the 4-year-olds. Aagaardens Chico Ask was premium licensed, and son Frodo Ask won the performance test.

In 2016, he produced another premium stallion, Frontier Ask, who received four 10s for technique, scope, canter, and topline, plus 9.5 overall. That same year, 7 offspring competed in the Young Horse Championship, with 5 finishing in the top 10—all receiving scores between 8.5 and 10 for scope. The winner was Fendi Ask (by Favorit Ask), who scored 10 for scope.

In 2017, Frontier Ask was again Champion Stallion, while Fidelio Ask earned premium status, later winning the performance test and becoming Champion.

Some of his most famous offspring include:

Fendi Ask, silver medal mare, winner of the DRF 4-, 5- and 6-year-old finals, the Young Horse Championship, and finalist at the World Championships for Young Horses as both a 5- and 6-year-old.

First Choice HT, a talented jumper up to 1.50 m, clear rounds and placings, including at the World Championships in Herning 2022.

Favorit Ask breeds modern jumpers. He topped the DV conformation index in 2016, improving fronts, hindquarters, and especially toplines. His offspring are supple jumpers with great capacity and excellent rideability, while also inheriting size, scope, and superb temperament.
