Blue Hors Purple Rain is an expressive and elegant young dressage stallion, sired by Desperado N.O.P., a former Dutch national team member, out of a damline carrying Negro and Jazz, two of the most influential Grand Prix-producing stallions of our time. His dam is a full sister to Kjento, the double Young Horse World Champion, giving Purple Rain a pedigree designed for both sport and breeding excellence. The damline also includes numerous competition horses and licensed stallions. Purple Rain is known for his uphill balance, expressive gaits, and calm, trainable temperament.

He is described as compact and light in his movements, while being full of energy and elegance in all three gaits. It's especially his mind that makes an impression: he constantly searches for the right answer and shows a strong willingness to cooperate. With Vivaldi blood through his sire Desperado, he brings exactly the combination of strength and rideability that is so highly valued in a horse.

From Purple Rain his first foals we can see that he consistently passes on a strong hindleg and very attractive type. For optimal result we think he is best paired with compact mares that have a well-balanced topline, complementing his slightly upright, powerful build.
