Blue Hors Baron is a stallion of exceptional quality, combining power, elegance, and an outstanding temperament. He spent the majority of his life focused on breeding, where he proved himself as a top sire, producing eight licensed stallions, several highly awarded mares, and Young Horse Championship double winner Blue Hors Bonsai. Since last year, Baron has been paired with young rider Sophia Ludvigsen and is now focusing more on his sport career, while continuing to actively contribute to breeding.

‘Baron is such a powerful horse, yet he has this incredible work ethic and willingness to listen to his rider. Sophia, despite her young age, has brought out his best qualities, and it’s exciting to see where they’re headed. I’ve ridden a number of Baron’s offspring, and it’s clear that he consistently passes on the best traits - elasticity, a great mindset, and the kind of calm focus that makes them a joy to train. Taking Blue Hors Bonsai as an example, who has shown such incredible potential, winning the national young horse championships two years in a row. Baron’s bloodlines speak for themselves—his offspring have the talent and temperament to succeed at the highest levels, and that’s exactly what breeders should be looking for.’

Our experience is that Baron’s offspring are exceptionally well-functioning under rider, which corresponds with his stallion lineage, which is famous for inheriting rideability, dressage talent, unlimited movement potential with maximum shoulder freedom and lots of hind-leg activity.

Baron is sire of several awarded mares and stallions such as the Hanoverian approved stallions Bachelor, Beggin C, Baron De Ley and Bugatti GS and the mare Bonsai (Baron – Royal Classic – Wolkentanz II), bred by Irmgard Schmidt and who was titled Champion Mare and ‘Best Mare of the Day’ by the Hanoverian Association at the mare grading show in Grindsted with the grades 9 for walk, 9 for trot, 10 for canter, 9 for rideability and 9.5 by test rider.

Bonsai has been a very big factor in the purchase of Baron, since the mare has been taking away all of the Blue Hors personel’s breath with her outstanding and unmatched potential.
