Northern Equestrian Festival became exactly the celebration we had hoped for. From 20 to 24 May, Stutteri Ask and Blue Hors provided the setting for five days of international top sport, family experiences, well-filled spectator areas and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the showground.
With international showjumping at the highest level, Nations Cup, Grand Prix classes, family activities, entertainment, food experiences, shopping and VIP hospitality, the festival became a gathering point for equestrian fans, families, partners and guests from near and far.
Already from the first days, there was great activity across the showground, and especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the festival area was very well attended. Spectators filled the areas around the showjumping arena, the exhibition area, the food areas and the many activities for children and families. A total of 37 buses made their way to Martofte during the festival, and it was clear that many had come to experience both the sport and the special festival atmosphere.
Northern Equestrian Festival was created as more than an international horse show. The ambition was to combine sport, atmosphere and experiences in one overall event, with something for everyone. That ambition was very much fulfilled. While riders and horses delivered top-level sport in the arena, spectators outside the arena could enjoy everything from face painting, a rodeo bull, hobby horse competitions and a bouncy castle to Cirkus Flik Flak, circus workshops, a classic car gathering and Western Day.
Friday evening featured Show Night in Casir Hall followed by a riders’ party with live music, while Saturday continued with plenty of activity, western atmosphere and happy guests throughout the showground. At the same time, food stands, the cafeteria, street food, popcorn, ice cream from Vaffelhuset and the many exhibitors brought life to the festival area throughout all the days.
For Stutteri Ask and Blue Hors, it has been a great pleasure to see how warmly Northern Equestrian Festival was received by so many guests. There were smiles, a great atmosphere and many people across the showground, and it was precisely the combination of sport, family fun and experiences that made the festival something truly special.
The VIP area and hospitality concept also became an important part of the experience. Here, guests, companies and partners could enjoy international sport from attractive surroundings while also experiencing hospitality, networking and views of some of the biggest sporting moments of the event.
An event of this size is only possible through a major joint effort. Therefore, we would like to extend a big thank you to riders, officials, sponsors, partners, exhibitors, spectators and, not least, the many volunteers and employees who helped make Northern Equestrian Festival such a success.
We are very proud of the support the festival has received and of being able to bring so many people together around international equestrian sport and great experiences in Martofte.
The success will be repeated next year. We look forward to once again welcoming spectators, riders, families and partners to Northern Equestrian Festival in week 21 of 2027.
